en.Wedoany.com Reported - China Shandong Gold Group Co., Ltd. has achieved phased results in its mining layout in Gansu Province, with multiple gold and copper-polymetallic projects making exploration breakthroughs. Among them, the Goumabei Gold Mine in Min County has identified a cumulative gold metal volume of 64.849 tons, reducing the originally planned exploration cycle of 6 to 8 years to just 2 years.

At the 2026 China International Gold Conference and Gansu Gold Industry High-Quality Development Conference, Cheng Bin, Assistant General Manager of Shandong Gold Group, stated that Gansu boasts superior metallogenic conditions and is an important resource base in China. Leveraging its industrial, capital, and technological advantages, Shandong Gold Group has precisely deployed in core gold metallogenic belts such as Longnan and Gannan, advancing key projects including the Daqiao Gold Mine, Xihe Zhongbao, Min County Goumabei, Subei Yema Copper-Polymetallic Mine, and Xihe Anjiach Gold Mine. Currently, the group holds one operational mine, one mine under construction, three mining rights, and eight exploration rights.

Cheng Bin introduced that the Goumabei Gold Mine project in the Zhaishang mining area of Min County, through a work strategy of "large-scale joint operations, high-precision exploration, and technology-driven reserve enhancement," has collaborated with professional research institutes to develop a distinctive exploration model of "indirect structural indication by vein rocks—precise ore body positioning." This effectively solved exploration challenges in complex mining areas, shortening the originally planned 6-to-8-year exploration cycle to 2 years. As of the end of March 2026, the project has identified a cumulative gold metal volume of 64.849 tons, setting the fastest record for exploration results submission within the group.

In addition to the Goumabei Gold Mine, multiple projects in Gansu are progressing simultaneously. The Subei Yema Copper-Polymetallic Mine has delineated 5 mineralization alteration zones and over 20 industrial copper ore bodies. The Xihe Anjiach Gold Mine has proven 7 gold ore bodies, with ample potential for deep and peripheral prospects.

Looking ahead, Cheng Bin stated that Shandong Gold Group plans to advance in five major directions in Gansu. First, accelerate the planning, project approval, and construction of the Goumabei Gold Mine, equipped with an intelligent concentrator, to steadily release gold production capacity after reaching full output. Second, leverage the full industrial chain advantage to cultivate a national-level mineral resource mining and processing base. Third, through resource acquisitions and new mining rights, strive to establish a "100-ton gold production base" in Gansu. Fourth, focus on green and low-carbon development by strengthening cooperation in energy conservation, tailings comprehensive utilization, and ecological restoration. Fifth, continuously increase investment in local employment, rural revitalization, and public welfare initiatives to ensure that resource development benefits the local community.
