Bhd. to support Chevron Malaysia's 2026 to 2028 North Malay Basin full-field development project.
The contract involves the NAGA 8 rig, with drilling operations expected to commence in August 2026, and the total contract value is approximately $51 million.
The North Malay Basin is located in the South China Sea, approximately 290 to 300 kilometers off the coast of Peninsular Malaysia, covering three blocks: PM302, PM325, and PM326B. The area includes multiple gas fields such as Bergading, Bunga Dahlia, Teratai, Gajah, Melati, Kamelia, Zetung, Anggerik, and Kesumba. Hess Malaysia and Petronas Carigali act as joint operators in a 50-50 partnership.
