According to the Xi'an Railway Bureau, as of July 30, the seven stations along the entire line had collectively handled 1.113 million passenger trips, while bullet trains operating on the Xi-Shi High-Speed Railway had transported a total of 2.33 million passengers. This 350 km/h high-speed rail line, spanning 257 kilometers in total length, has become a vital corridor for passenger flow exchange, cultural and tourism integration, and industrial synergy between Shaanxi and Hubei provinces.

The Xi-Shi High-Speed Railway connects to China's "Eight Vertical and Eight Horizontal" high-speed rail network, linking with lines such as the Yin-Xi High-Speed Railway, Han-Shi High-Speed Railway, and Wu-Jiu High-Speed Railway, forming a fast corridor from the northwest through the urban agglomeration in the middle reaches of the Yangtze River directly to the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. For travel from the northwest to the Yangtze River Delta and Pearl River Delta regions, the route via Xi'an–Shiyan–Wuhan offers shorter distance and less travel time compared to the detour through Zhengzhou.

In the first month of operation, tourist visits to core scenic areas in Shangluo increased by over 30% year-on-year; Shiyan East Station launched a free shuttle service to Wudang Mountain, transporting 5,000 visitors in half a month; and tourist reception at major scenic areas in Shennongjia grew by more than 40% year-on-year, with Xi'an emerging as the largest source market for new visitors.
