Head of China's National Energy Administration Meets with South African Minister of Electricity and Energy

en.Wedoany.com Reported - Wedoany News, August 3 —Wang Jianbo, Deputy Administrator of China'sNational Energy Administration,met withSouth African Minister of Electricity and Energy, Losiando· Ramokgopa, in Beijing, where both sides exchanged views on advancing China-South Africa energy cooperation.

Wang Jianbo stated that energy is a key area of bilateral cooperation. China is willing to work with South Africa to make full use of existing intergovernmental cooperation mechanisms and platforms such as the Belt and Road Initiative and BRICS, strengthening cooperation and exchanges in key areas including energy planning, clean energy, power grids, and technological innovation, so as to continuously elevate the level of China-South Africa energy cooperation.

Ramokgopa stated that South Africa's Integrated Resource Plan 2025 has been officially implemented, and new energy is a key focus of the country's future development. With China's complete new energy industry system, South Africa is willing to further deepen cooperation with China in areas such as energy policy, energy planning, project investment, and technical exchanges.

Officials from the Department of Science and Technology, the Department of Electricity, the Department of New Energy, and the Department of International Cooperation of China's National Energy Administration attended the meeting.
