en.Wedoany.com Reported - CGN Resources (ASX:CGN) has completed its initial reverse circulation (RC) drilling program at the Christmas Well project near Leonora, Western Australia, with 15 holes totaling 2,093 meters drilled across four priority gold targets—Ox Tongue, Lambs Fry, Sweetbread, and Rocky Mountain Oyster—with all holes reaching target depths. Samples have been dispatched to Intertek Laboratories for multi-element analysis, with assay results expected to be released within the next four to six weeks.

CGN stated that this marks the first drilling activity targeting multiple high-priority zones in the area, with drill targets previously identified through detailed geological interpretation, geophysics, and structural modeling. Managing Director Stan Wholley said the completion of the initial drilling represents a significant milestone for the company, describing Christmas Well as "one of the most exciting emerging gold asset portfolios in the Leonora region." Data indicates that Christmas Well is situated within the Leonora gold province, along strike from major gold deposits with multi-million-ounce resources, including Gwalia, King of the Hills, Tower Hill, and Harbour Lights.

Additionally, CGN has entered into a heritage access agreement with the Nyalpa Pirniku Aboriginal traditional owners, covering key tenements within the Panhandle project, including those acquired through the Patronus Resources (ASX:PTN) transaction as well as several exploration licenses applied for by CGN. The agreement enables the company to conduct heritage clearances, field work, and drilling planning at identified high-priority gold targets within the Panhandle project, with the Pelican target prioritized for drill testing. Wholley noted that the agreement provides a pathway to accelerate exploration at the Panhandle project, and with Christmas Well assay results imminent, the Panhandle project is moving into its field phase, building exploration momentum across the company's regional landholding in Leonora.

CGN Resources is a mineral exploration company focused on discovering copper, gold, nickel, and critical minerals in Western Australia.
