Wedoany.com Report-Jun 20, A transit container train carrying high-quality Kazakhstani wheat arrived at Lianyungang Port in China, marking the first shipment sent by ProdCorporation through a multimodal route, according to the Kazakh Agriculture Ministry. The train, loaded with 62 containers totaling 1,700 tons of wheat, departed from grain collection stations in Kazakhstan’s Akmola region and is destined for Hai Phong Port in Vietnam via sea transport.

The successful delivery was covered by China’s central and international television networks, highlighting the efficient transport of Kazakhstan’s grain to Vietnam. ProdCorporation plans to export approximately 15,000 tons of food-grade wheat to Vietnam through this route, supporting the country’s agricultural export goals.

Assylkan Dzhuvashev, chairman of the board of ProdCorporation NC JSC, stated: “The new logistics routes reveal access for Kazakhstani farmers to the promising remote markets. The infrastructure built jointly with Chinese partners yields substantial dividends as sustainable and accelerated deliveries.” He further noted: “It is an important step to boost the country’s export potential.”

Since the start of the year, ProdCorporation has exported 196,000 tons of grain, primarily to markets in North America, Southeast Asia, and Iran. Additionally, Kazakhstan previously shipped 300,000 tons of wheat to North Africa and Morocco, demonstrating its growing role in global grain trade.

The multimodal route, combining rail and sea transport, enhances the efficiency of Kazakhstan’s grain exports. The collaboration with Chinese logistics partners at Lianyungang Port streamlines the process, ensuring reliable and timely deliveries to international markets. This initiative strengthens Kazakhstan’s position as a key agricultural exporter and supports the expansion of its trade networks in Southeast Asia.
