Wedoany.com Report-Oct. 30, As of October 29, in the 2025/26 marketing year, Ukraine exported a total of 8.957 million tonnes of grain and leguminous crops, marking a decline of 5.183 million tonnes, or 36.6%, compared with the same period last year. This information was reported by the Ministry of Agrarian Policy and Food of Ukraine.
Wheat exports reached 6.149 million tonnes, which is 1.529 million tonnes, or 19.9%, lower than last year. Barley exports amounted to 1.061 million tonnes, reflecting a 37.2% decrease compared with the previous year. Additionally, 0.2 thousand tonnes of rye were exported.
Corn exports stood at 1.575 million tonnes, down by 2.919 million tonnes, or 64.9%, compared to the same period last year. Furthermore, 20.8 thousand tonnes of flour (equivalent to 27.7 thousand tonnes in grain terms) were shipped abroad, representing a reduction of 4.3 thousand tonnes, or 17.1%, from last year.
The decline in exports across major grains highlights ongoing challenges in Ukraine’s agricultural export volumes for the 2025/26 season, affecting both wheat and coarse grains such as barley and corn. These figures underline shifts in trade volumes while domestic consumption patterns remain a key factor in overall supply and demand balance.
Ukraine continues to manage exports carefully, balancing domestic needs with international commitments, ensuring that grain and legume shipments support global markets while maintaining internal food security.
