Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 17, Amrize has launched a new “Made in America” label for its US cement portfolio, confirming that all products are manufactured domestically from raw material sourcing to final processing. The label will be implemented across the company’s nationwide operations, beginning with major facilities in Ste. Genevieve (Missouri), Midlothian (Texas), Devil’s Slide (Utah), Holly Hill (South Carolina) and Portland (Colorado).
According to the company, the initiative aims to provide customers with clearer assurance that its cement meets US performance standards and is fully produced within the country. Amrize stated that domestic origin has become increasingly important for public infrastructure procurement and local construction markets, where verification of supply sources is a priority.
To accompany the label rollout, Amrize is increasing production at several key cement plants. These expansions are part of a broader capital investment plan valued at US$700m and scheduled for 2025. The planned upgrades are intended to increase capacity, strengthen supply reliability and support overall network performance as market demand remains high.
Amrize currently operates 13 cement plants in the United States and is recognized as the country’s largest cement producer. The company noted that cement remains an essential material for national infrastructure and construction activities. It highlighted that the broader industry contributes substantially to economic output and employment across multiple sectors.
The company explained that the introduction of the new label is designed to reinforce supply chain transparency and underline its long-term commitment to domestic manufacturing. Amrize stated that demand for cement continues to rise in areas such as residential construction, transportation projects and energy-related development, making consistent supply an important factor for project planning and execution.
As production increases move forward, Amrize expects the investment programme to support improved operational efficiency and ensure readiness for future growth. The company said the label will be applied uniformly across its network to provide customers with a clear indication of product origin as procurement requirements evolve.
Overall, the initiative underscores Amrize’s strategy to align manufacturing capacity with the needs of US construction and infrastructure markets while maintaining compliance with national performance standards.
