Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 30, Turkey's state grain purchasing agency TMO has completed a direct procurement of approximately 300,000 metric tons of Russian milling wheat from United Grain Company (OZK). The transaction was concluded outside the regular international tender process.

European trade sources report that the purchase enables TMO to rapidly rebuild domestic inventories in response to consistent internal consumption requirements.

The wheat, with a minimum protein content of 12.5 percent, will be delivered on C&F terms to seven designated Turkish ports, with all shipments scheduled for arrival before the end of December.

The financial details of the agreement have not been made public.

This direct purchase follows TMO's routine practice of combining open tenders with occasional government-to-government or private deals to ensure stable supply and price management for milling wheat used in bread and flour production across Turkey. The timely addition of the Russian-origin cargo supports continued availability of grain for the domestic food industry during the final weeks of the year.
