Introduced the previous year, the L120 Electric utilizes a 282 kWh lithium-ion battery pack, suitable for diverse sectors such as building projects, waste management, recycling operations, city development, farming, and settings requiring low noise or enclosed spaces.

The unit incorporates an energy recovery mechanism that harnesses braking force to recharge the battery, thereby prolonging runtime during tasks.

Volvo Construction Equipment indicates that the loader achieves five to nine hours of continuous work per full charge, varying with workload intensity and specific use.

Rapid charging restores capacity in less than two hours, enabling recharges during operational pauses or shift changes.

Interior cab sound levels measure 70 dB, quieter than comparable diesel variants, potentially easing operator strain and minimizing external disruption in metropolitan or confined locations.

The electric power system produces no direct tailpipe output, enhancing atmospheric conditions in covered or densely occupied areas.

Maintenance needs are lower than for diesel counterparts, eliminating requirements for engine lubricants, fuel filtration components, or exhaust treatment fluids.

Performance matches or exceeds the conventional L120 diesel model in several aspects, including greater power delivery and quicker responsiveness. A hydraulics setup responsive to load demands ensures fluid functionality while conserving energy.
