Wedoany.com Report-Dec.22, Palo Alto Networks and Google Cloud have expanded their strategic partnership to support the secure development and deployment of AI solutions, providing organizations with a reliable foundation to fully utilize AI technologies.

The collaboration integrates Google Cloud's advanced AI and infrastructure features with Palo Alto Networks' Prisma AIRS, a comprehensive AI security platform, to protect emerging digital operations.

A recent Palo Alto Networks State of Cloud Security Report indicated that organizations are rapidly increasing cloud usage for AI applications and services. It also revealed that 99 percent of surveyed respondents faced at least one attack on their AI infrastructure in the past year. This partnership addresses these challenges through improved joint market approaches and integrated security across hybrid multicloud environments, application development phases, and endpoints, enabling innovation while safeguarding intellectual property and data.

Key elements of the expanded collaboration include:

End-to-end AI security covering code to cloud operations. Customers can protect active AI workloads and data on Google Cloud, including Vertex AI and Agent Engine, using Prisma AIRS. The integration extends to developer tools like the Agent Development Kit, offering AI Posture Management for oversight, AI Runtime Security for immediate protection, AI Agent Security for autonomous systems, AI Red Teaming for testing, and AI Model Security for scanning vulnerabilities.

Next-generation software firewalls powered by AI. Palo Alto Networks VM-Series firewalls provide thorough inspection and threat prevention in virtualized settings. Enhanced connections with Google Cloud help maintain strong security policies and support broader adoption.

AI-enhanced Secure Access Service Edge (SASE) platform. Prisma SASE secures access for remote users, branches, and devices, with closer alignment to Google Cloud's AI services. Prisma Access operates on Google's network, improving performance for cloud and AI applications, and utilizes Google Cloud Interconnect for consistent policies across environments.

Streamlined security management. Close coordination between the companies ensures pre-tested solutions that work seamlessly, reducing integration efforts and enabling faster deployment, easier compliance, and unified visibility across multicloud setups.

Building on prior achievements, including over 75 joint integrations and substantial sales through the Google Cloud Marketplace, Palo Alto Networks is further committing to Google Cloud by shifting internal workloads there and adopting Vertex AI and Gemini models for its Co-pilots.

BJ Jenkins, president of Palo Alto Networks, stated: "Every board is asking how to harness AI's power without exposing the business to new threats. This partnership answers that question. We're removing the friction between security and development, providing a unified platform where the most advanced security is simply a native part of building what's next. Together with Google, we are embedding our AI-powered security deep into the Google Cloud fabric, turning the platform itself into a proactive defense system."

Matt Renner, president and chief revenue officer of Google Cloud, stated: "Enterprises are increasingly turning to Google Cloud and Palo Alto Networks to secure their applications and data – together and in a seamless way. This latest expansion of our partnership will ensure that our joint customers have access to the right solutions to secure their most critical AI infrastructure and develop new AI agents with security built in from the start."
