The state is recognized for its abundant gold and silver mineral resources, supportive policies, and efficient permit approval processes. Approximately 58% of respondents indicated that permit approval timelines are met in most cases, and 77% are confident in obtaining permits. 
Nevada is the largest gold-producing state and the second-largest silver-producing state in the United States, with a long mining history dating back to 1858. Approximately 87% of the state's land is federally managed, providing relatively free access for mineral claim staking. In addition to federal incentives, such as Inflation Reduction Act tax credits, the state offers sales tax exemptions and tax deferrals on capital equipment purchases, further enhancing its investment appeal.
ASX-listed resource companies are actively deploying projects in Nevada, leveraging its resource potential. For example, Sun Silver's (ASX:SS1) Maverick Springs silver-gold project boasts an inferred resource of 539 million ounces of silver equivalent at a grade of 71 g/t, making it the largest pre-production primary silver deposit on the ASX and in the United States. The project is undergoing infill drilling to upgrade resource confidence and demonstrates growth potential along strike and at depth.
Other ASX companies are also advancing exploration work in Nevada. Bayan Mining and Minerals' (ASX:BMM) Bayan Springs project is directly adjacent to Maverick Springs and has submitted a Notice of Intent to drill. Black Bear Minerals' (ASX:BKB) Independence gold project is suitable for heap leach extraction, with resources including measured and indicated categories. Mammoth Minerals' (ASX:M79) Excelsior Springs project has identified a polymetallic system, while PolarX's (ASX:PXX) Humboldt Range project has returned high-grade gold and silver results.
Sierra Nevada Gold's (ASX:SNX) Blackhawk project includes a high-grade gold-silver epithermal discovery covering 49 square kilometers. Viking Mines (ASX:VKA) is targeting early tungsten production at its Linka project, with historical data showing a tungsten-bearing corridor with a strike length of 1.6 kilometers. 49 Metals, as an upcoming ASX-listed company, has consolidated three projects in Nevada, targeting high-grade gold resources. The activities of these companies highlight Nevada's status as a hotspot for mining investment, attracting a continuous influx of ASX companies.
