The Nagaur cement plant boasts a strategic location, enabling coverage of high-growth markets such as Rajasthan, Haryana, Punjab, and the National Capital Region (NCR), facilitating the company's deeper penetration into northern India. The project was financed through a mix of equity and long-term debt, with INR 8 billion (approximately USD 85 million) sourced from the company's initial public offering proceeds. Parth Jindal, Managing Director of JSW Cement, stated that the plant's commissioning is a "critical moment" in the company's growth strategy, and the rapid 21-month construction cycle demonstrates its project execution capabilities.

CEO Nilesh Narwekar noted that this expansion will allow the company to enter one of India's fastest-growing cement markets, driven by infrastructure and construction demand. The company plans to increase its capacity to 41.85 Mta by the 2029 fiscal year, with a long-term target of 60 Mta. The new cement plant is designed with a focus on sustainability, featuring alternative fuel co-processing facilities, a 7-km overland belt conveyor (reducing reliance on road transport), and a 16 MW Waste Heat Recovery System (WHRS) to enhance energy efficiency and reduce emissions.
