en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 24th, Data released by the Department of Natural Resources of Fujian Province, China, shows that the total investment in geological exploration work in Fujian Province in 2025 reached 293 million yuan, an increase of 33.5% compared to the previous year. In terms of fund allocation, the central government allocated 30 million yuan, local financial support amounted to 92 million yuan, and social capital investment was 171 million yuan. The funds were primarily used in areas such as basic geological surveys, mineral resource exploration, and hydrogeological and engineering geological surveys to support regional economic development.
In basic geological surveys, Fujian Province invested 42 million yuan, achieving comprehensive coverage of 1:50,000 regional geological surveys on land, thereby enhancing the foundational level of geological work. Mineral resource exploration received an investment of 213 million yuan, funding 144 exploration projects involving minerals such as iron, molybdenum, and fluorite. Throughout the year, six new mineral deposits were discovered, including three large-scale, two medium-scale, and one small-scale deposit, strengthening the capacity to secure mineral resources.
In hydrogeological and engineering geological surveys, an investment of 21 million yuan was made to systematically update surveys of geological hazard risk points and risk zones, and progress was achieved in basic surveys of groundwater resources. Geological scientific research received an investment of 17 million yuan, with breakthroughs made in paleontological fossil research, promoting the pioneering role of geological work in regional construction.
