en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 24th, Theta Gold Mines (ASX:TGM) has awarded the contract for the construction of a three-stage crushing and screening plant at its TGME gold project in South Africa to NMS Africa. The plant, to be located approximately 370 kilometers northeast of Johannesburg, is a critical component of the TGME project development.

NMS Africa will be responsible for constructing a plant that includes a screening circuit along with ore feeding, primary, secondary, and tertiary crushing equipment. The site is estimated to host 6.1 million ounces of gold resources, providing a solid reserve base for the project.

Construction is expected to take 125 days to complete, with the plant potentially becoming operational as early as the last quarter of 2026. Future work may be involved as the project expands. "The secondary and tertiary crushing and screening equipment forms part of the plant's ore feed equipment," said Theta Chairman Bill Guy. He added, "All ongoing construction activities on site are proceeding within budget. The TGME gold plant remains on schedule for commissioning... with first gold expected in Q1 2027."
