en.Wedoany.com Report, On March 23, China Rongjie Co., Ltd. announced that its wholly-owned subsidiary, Lanzhou Rongjie Material Technology Co., Ltd., plans to invest approximately 1.1 billion yuan in Lanzhou New Area to construct an annual production capacity of 50,000 tons of high-performance lithium-ion battery anode material project. Against the backdrop of generally large-scale capacity expansion in the industry, the scale of this project is not particularly prominent. However, for Rongjie Co., Ltd., it marks a significant extension of the company's presence in the new energy material industry chain.Image related to Rongjie's project

Rongjie Co., Ltd.'s core business is primarily focused on the resource end, including lithium mining and processing, lithium salt production, and lithium battery equipment manufacturing, with lithium concentrate being its main source of revenue. The company holds the mining rights for the No. 134 vein of the Jiajika spodumene mine, which is one of the few large-scale, stable, and operating spodumene mines in China. In 2025, the company's lithium concentrate production reached 185,600 tons, a year-on-year increase of 174.83%, with related business revenue amounting to 767 million yuan, a year-on-year increase of 92.45%.

In recent years, Rongjie Co., Ltd. has expanded into midstream processing through equity participation and controlling subsidiaries, with Chengdu Rongjie Lithium Industry being a representative enterprise. As a key associated company, Chengdu Rongjie Lithium Industry is mainly engaged in lithium salt production and processing. Its profit growth has been significant and was listed as one of the key factors for the increase in net profit in the 2025 annual report. The company connects upstream lithium resources with downstream battery materials and serves as an important channel for Rongjie Co., Ltd. to monetize its resources.

The Lanzhou Rongjie Material anode material project reflects Rongjie Co., Ltd.'s further layout in the "resource-lithium salt-material" chain. Although anode materials and lithium resources are not directly related in terms of raw materials, both are key materials for power batteries. Through this project, the company aims to build a more complete battery material system and enhance its overall competitiveness.

Last May, the company secured approximately 208,400 square meters of industrial land, reserving space for the project. This demonstrates the company's forward-looking planning for material end development even before its lithium concentrate production capacity has been fully realized, reflecting the foresight in its strategic layout.
