en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 28th, KHD recently collaborated with Amreyah Cement to upgrade the combustion process at its Borg El Arab cement plant, aiming to increase alternative fuel usage and plant efficiency. The scope of supply for this cement production upgrade project includes the installation of a Pyrorotor combustion reactor for alternative fuel processing, a preheater with a high-efficiency cyclone, a new calciner installed within the existing structure, a Pyrobox burner for calciner combustion, and a new Pyrojet main kiln burner. The project also includes the installation of a new ID fan, tertiary air duct, and downcomer.

KHD stated that the integration of the Pyrorotor will enable higher alternative fuel substitution rates, improved combustion efficiency, and enhanced process stability, utilizing low-quality, locally available fuels with minimal pretreatment requirements. This cement production process upgrade will help Amreyah Cement increase the proportion of alternative fuel usage while maintaining production stability, reduce dependence on traditional fossil fuels, and thereby decrease carbon emissions during the cement production process.
Farid Salehi, Senior Sales Director at KHD, said: "This project highlights our commitment to delivering high-performance, innovative combustion process solutions while emphasizing the strength of our partnership with Amreyah Cement in Egypt." The implementation of this cement production upgrade project will further advance the energy-saving and emission-reduction process in Egypt's cement industry, providing technical support for cement producers to achieve a green transition.
