Research institutions and industry chain stakeholders including the National Innovation Center for Advanced Glass Materials, the Hainan Provincial Key Laboratory of Asphalt-Based New Materials, China Construction Seventh Engineering Division Corp., Ltd., China Building Material Test & Certification Group Suzhou Co., Ltd., the Surface Materials Division of Wanhua Chemical Group Co., Ltd., Henan Airport Investment Group Co., Ltd., SUPCON Technology Co., Ltd., BASF (China) Co., Ltd., and Guangdong BDF New Materials Co., Ltd. have joined the alliance.
The alliance will focus on building a demand-oriented artificial intelligence material design model, connecting the entire intelligent R&D chain from raw material structure and material formulation to product performance. Through a closed-loop iteration of high-throughput computing, machine learning, and experimental verification, it aims to replace the traditional "trial-and-error" R&D model and tackle core technologies for high-performance, multi-functional, green, and low-carbon waterproof materials. The alliance will promote the integration of AI technology into the entire process of product formulation, production processing, and quality inspection, achieving an integrated upgrade of intelligent formulation, intelligent production, and intelligent quality inspection, and will jointly build 3 to 5 intelligent demonstration factories. Furthermore, the alliance will train a vertical domain large model for the waterproofing industry, building an exclusive "industry brain" to provide designers, construction workers, project managers, and others with one-stop digital services such as intelligent material selection, solution generation, cost estimation, and specification inquiry.
