en.Wedoany.com Reported - UK family-run housebuilder Bloor Homes has officially launched a public consultation on its housing development proposals for Oadby. The site, located at Cottage Farm Phase 3, north of Glen Gorse Golf Club, has been identified by Oadby and Wigston Borough Council as a proposed housing development site in the emerging local plan.

Bloor Homes is preparing an outline planning application to deliver up to 190 homes. Rachel Clare, Planning Manager at Bloor Homes Midlands, said: "Our plans are based on the draft allocation of the site in the new local plan recently published by Oadby and Wigston Borough Council, and will help the council meet the higher housing targets set by the government. We want to hear from local residents about their priorities for the types of homes needed locally. Furthermore, given that our proposals will provide significant investment to support local services and community infrastructure, we would like to hear people's views on where they think investment is needed. We encourage everyone to visit the consultation website and provide feedback."

Access to the housing development will utilise the existing junction serving the current phases of Cottage Farm on Jamie Marcus Way. The consultation will run until midnight on 17 May 2026.
