en.Wedoany.com Reported - Recently, Dafeng Ganghua Gas Co., Ltd., Ganghua (Shenzhen) Carbon Asset Operation Co., Ltd., and Shanghai Electric Qingneng Bioenergy Co., Ltd. signed an agreement in Suzhou for the Jiangsu Yancheng Dafeng Biomethane China Certified Emission Reduction (CCER) project. This project is the first to be implemented in the biomethane CCER field under Ganghua Group's "Gas-Carbon Synergy" strategy. Huang Hao, Executive Vice President of Ganghua Gas, Zhang Jinbai, Executive Vice President of Ganghua Energy, and Zhang Weishuai, General Manager of Shanghai Electric Qingneng Bioenergy Co., Ltd., attended the signing ceremony.
The project is located in Dafeng District, Yancheng City, Jiangsu Province, and is the first CCER development project in the Dafeng National Zero Carbon Park to focus on agricultural waste utilization. The project uses agricultural waste such as cow manure and straw from surrounding large-scale dairy farms as raw materials, produces biogas through anaerobic fermentation, and after purification, produces biomethane, which is then connected to the regional gas pipeline network, forming a closed loop of resource circulation.
The project will quantify, verify, and issue tradable carbon assets for greenhouse gas emission reductions in accordance with the national CCER methodology "Agricultural Waste Centralized Treatment Project Methodology (CCER—15—002—V01)," thereby revitalizing green value.
At the signing ceremony, leaders of Ganghua Group made arrangements for project advancement and business expansion. Zhang Jinbai pointed out that CCER projects have social benefits in deepening government-enterprise relations and enhancing local green influence. Ganghua Carbon Assets needs to formulate a rigorous trading plan to generate green revenue. The renewable energy sector should take this signing as an opportunity to integrate resources and seek large-scale investment opportunities in broader areas such as the Dafeng National Zero Carbon Park and direct green power supply, thereby expanding the Group's green business boundaries.
Huang Hao emphasized that in the face of new international green trade regulations such as the EU's Carbon Border Adjustment Mechanism (CBAM), the gas sector should actively learn from emerging green sectors to achieve two-way empowerment and deep integration of traditional business and emerging green industries. The East China Marketing Department should, based on the successful logic of the Dafeng CCER project, combine regional resources with the concept of green exporting, connect with the low-carbon demands of export enterprises, and promote the deepening and solidification of the Group's "Gas-Carbon Synergy" strategy.
In the future, Ganghua will leverage its resources of 400,000 high-quality industrial and commercial gas customers and the layout advantages of 128 zero-carbon smart parks to continuously promote CCER project development, comprehensive green energy utilization, and "Gas-Carbon Synergy" model innovation, create regional green and low-carbon demonstration projects, iterate integrated energy service scenarios, and provide support for the national "dual carbon" goals.
