en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 1, the construction of the primary freezer storage and terminal project for the LPG receiving station in Binhai Port Area, Yancheng Port, Jiangsu Province, officially commenced on-site. This is PetroChina's first liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) receiving station. The project mainly involves the construction of three double-metal-wall atmospheric pressure low-temperature full-containment tanks, three LPG pressure spherical tanks, 16 loading bays, and related supporting facilities.

Upon completion, the project will further improve the regional clean energy supply system, significantly enhance the clean energy supply security capacity in the Yangtze River Delta region, inject stable momentum into the green development of the local economy and society, and hold great significance for promoting the quality and efficiency improvement of PetroChina's LPG business and building a modern intelligent LPG storage and transportation hub.

This project is implemented by PetroChina Natural Gas Marketing Company at Yancheng Port, Jiangsu Province, in response to the rapid growth of China's LPG demand and import volume in recent years. It is used to receive LPG imported by sea, with a receiving station turnover capacity of 1.5 million tons per year. The project construction is undertaken by China Petroleum Engineering & Construction Corporation (CPECC) as the EPC general contractor. Currently, all construction work is progressing orderly as planned, and it is expected to be commissioned for trial operation in November 2027.
