Aquatech will utilize its Li-Pr lithium-selective adsorption technology under the PEARL technology licensing platform to produce high-purity lithium chloride solution. A modular Quadpod unit consisting of four full-size Li-Pro columns is scheduled to arrive at Prairie Lithium's production facility in summer 2026, marking one of the first implementations of large-scale modular lithium processing.

The Li-Pro LSS is a rigorously tested and validated direct lithium extraction technology that has completed over 15,000 DLE cycles over more than four years, demonstrating consistent lithium recovery rates and processing over one million barrels of Arkansas Smackover brine.

Manish Backliwal, Senior Director at Aquatech, stated that this collaboration aims to accelerate Prairie Lithium's commercial production process. Aquatech will support Prairie Lithium through an integrated approach combining process expertise, modular deployment capabilities, and DLE project execution support.

Zach Maurer, Executive Director of Prairie Lithium, noted that installing a commercial-scale Li-Pro unit at the Saskatchewan facility is a significant step in demonstrating the project's commercial viability. Both parties are commissioning one of the world's largest DLE facilities, marking an important milestone for the lithium industry.
