en.Wedoany.com Reported - Askari Metals (ASX:AS2) has achieved significant results from the first phase of trenching at the K9 pegmatite target within the Uis Project in Namibia. A total of 38 trenches spanning 781.7 meters yielded 199 channel samples along a 950-meter strike length, with peak grades reaching 4,050 ppm tin, 0.29% lithium oxide, and 215 ppm tantalum.

Askari's wholly owned Uis Project is located immediately southwest of the producing Uis tin mine, an area the company considers one of the world's premier hard-rock tin, lithium, and tantalum districts. The neighboring Uis mine hosts 77.51 million tonnes of JORC mineral resources grading 0.79% lithium oxide, 0.15% tin, and 82 ppm tantalum. The K9 target is directly connected along strike to the B1/C1 pegmatite target on adjacent ML129, previously held by Andrada Mining. Andrada's 2023 drilling intersected a 14.52-meter pegmatite interval (from 15.48 meters to 30 meters) grading 1.38% lithium oxide, 285 ppm tantalum, and 0.131% tin.

Executive Director Gino D'Anna stated that these results substantially de-risk drilling and reinforce the team's confidence that K9 lies within a fertile, high-quality mineralized corridor whose scale and commodity mix can attract strong investor interest.

Tin results indicate multiple continuous mineralized zones along the 950-meter pegmatite trend. Highlights include: 2.80 meters at 1,810 ppm tin from 9 meters, including 0.8 meters at 4,050 ppm tin from 11 meters; and 3 meters at 1,406 ppm tin from 7.50 meters.

Lithium assays from several trenches ranged between 0.2% and 0.3% lithium oxide, with best results including 1.10 meters at 0.29% lithium oxide from 2.80 meters, and 0.50 meters at 0.26% lithium oxide from 4.50 meters. Tantalum mineralization is widespread and continuous along the entire 950-meter strike length, with many intercepts exceeding 80 ppm tantalum.

Reverse circulation drilling at the K9 pegmatite target is underway to test the continuity, geometry, and depth potential of the system. The company plans the next phase of exploration, including infill soil sampling on EPL 7626, first-phase trenching on EPL 7626 and EPL 8535, and second-phase trenching on EPL 7345. RC drilling at the DP, OP, PS, and K9 pegmatite targets is scheduled for the second half of 2026.

Askari Metals is an Africa-focused battery metals exploration company advancing its wholly owned Uis polymetallic project in Namibia, while also holding gold and copper assets in Ethiopia.
