en.Wedoany.com Reported - Avito in Russia has launched a full transaction model for online rental of special equipment, allowing customers to complete the entire order process—from submitting applications, selecting equipment, and making payments to obtaining payment guarantees—through the platform. This news was disclosed to CNews by a representative of Avito Auto.

The online model aims to transform the special equipment rental market into a more transparent and secure digital scenario. This format will be tested in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, which will become the first areas to complete the full cycle of online ordering for truck cranes, aerial work platforms, truck-mounted cranes, and backhoe loaders through the platform.

For lessees, this model reduces uncertainty and enables faster identification of equipment suitable for specific tasks. Instead of making manual phone inquiries, customers gain a clear equipment selection process, manager accompaniment at each stage, and payment through the service.

For executors, the service offers opportunities to secure more orders, higher-quality applications, and guaranteed timely payments. Avito handles routine tasks such as processing applications, initial communication with customers, payment guarantees after work completion, a complete set of settlement documents including VAT, and service support in case of disputes. Executors can choose to accept or reject orders, or propose their own terms. In the pilot in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, the service commission charged to executors is 3% of the order amount.

Regarding the equipment selection process in online rentals, the right to priority orders is reserved for the executor of the customer's source advertisement, who can accept, reject, or propose their own terms within 15 minutes. If the executor does not respond or rejects, the service continues to select among other participants, ensuring the lessee receives a quote within 60 minutes.

The service has enhanced notification mechanisms: in addition to platform messages, executors will also receive SMS and phone calls about new orders to avoid missing them.

Beyond orders from their own advertisements on the platform, executors can also obtain additional orders for their entire equipment fleet that has been verified through documents, even for equipment not listed in advertisements. This is particularly important for less popular and lower-demand equipment.

Service support for online rentals is available from 8:00 to 22:00, during which approximately 96% of orders are received. Nighttime applications will be prioritized in the morning.

Anton Naydich, Head of Avito Special Equipment Rental Business, stated that the market demand for special equipment in 2025-2026 will be redistributed, with growing interest in leasing as an alternative to purchasing. Due to the long-standing lack of systematization and reliability in the rental market, issues such as work interruptions, downtime, payment delays, and accounts receivable have arisen. The transaction model helps address these pain points, making the process more transparent and secure for all participants. In the pilot in St. Petersburg and the Leningrad Region, this format will cover 38% of the most popular equipment types on the platform and nearly 60% of consumer demand, effectively evaluating test results and determining its further development.

Based on the pilot results, Avito Special Equipment will analyze equipment selection speed, application quality, notification effectiveness, and feedback from lessees and executors. This data will help refine the service before expanding this full online transaction scenario to other regions.
