en.Wedoany.com Reported - In the first quarter of 2026, the net operating revenue of Brazil's Mobile Personal Service (SMP) reached R$24.92 billion, a quarter-on-quarter decrease of 1.70%. SMP revenue accounted for the largest share of total telecommunications service revenue (R$34.80 billion), which includes SCM, STFC, and SeAC. Investments specifically allocated to SMP in the same quarter totaled R$3.15 billion.
Compared to the same period last year, price and consumption indicators for SMP in Q1 2026 showed the following changes: the average price per GB consumed fell from R$5.46 to R$6.13, a decrease of 10.93%; the average data consumption per user increased from 5.37 GB to 6.51 GB, a growth of 21.23%. The average revenue per user (ARPU) by access category was as follows: total SMP ARPU at R$33.48, postpaid ARPU at R$49.81, prepaid ARPU at R$12.12, data ARPU at R$28.40, and voice ARPU at R$5.07.
In the fourth quarter of 2025 (4Q25), net operating revenue generated by SMP was R$25.35 billion, representing approximately 72% of the industry's total revenue of R$35.35 billion. Total investments in the mobile segment at the end of 2025 amounted to R$3.72 billion. Compared to the fourth quarter of 2024 (4Q24), operational indicators for 4Q25 showed: the average price per GB consumed fell from R$5.97 to R$5.65, a decrease of 5.36%; the average data consumption per user increased from 5.48 GB to 6.23 GB, a growth of 13.69%. End-of-period ARPU indicators were: total SMP ARPU at R$33.55, postpaid ARPU at R$50.14, prepaid ARPU at R$12.59, and data ARPU at R$28.36.
