en.Wedoany.com Reported - DHL Express has recently launched a new cargo route connecting Asia and Europe to meet the growing export demand from China's Yangtze River Delta region for the Asia-Pacific and European markets. This direct cargo flight efficiently links DHL's logistics hubs and gateways in Shanghai, China; Bangkok, Thailand; Bahrain; Brussels, Belgium; and East Midlands, UK, aiming to enhance regional capacity allocation efficiency, strengthen the responsiveness of the global supply chain, and provide stronger support for the cross-border circulation of time-sensitive goods.

The new cargo flight operates between the Shanghai North Asia Hub and the East Midlands Hub, with stops in Bangkok, Bahrain, and Brussels, adding nearly 200 tons of weekly capacity for export goods to alleviate space pressure and inject sustained momentum into regional export operations.
Williams, Senior Vice President of Operations for DHL Express China, stated that the new route is an important initiative to respond to market demand in the Yangtze River Delta and deepen the Asia-Europe corridor. Through continuous investment in owned capacity and deepening regional network synergy, capacity supply has been effectively expanded, further solidifying the stability of enterprise supply chains. DHL Express will continue to empower Chinese companies to efficiently connect with Asia-Pacific and Europe, contributing to the smooth flow of global trade.
Internal cargo volume data from DHL Express shows that since 2025, cumulative cargo volume from the Yangtze River Delta region to Asia-Pacific and Europe has grown by 15%. The DHL North Asia Hub in Shanghai is one of its key core transit centers in the Asia-Pacific region, handling export transit tasks for the three provinces and one city of Shanghai, Jiangsu, Zhejiang, and Anhui. Leveraging its outstanding operational processing capabilities, strategic location advantages, and the efficient customs clearance environment at Shanghai Pudong International Airport, this hub transforms the massive export demand from the Yangtze River Delta manufacturing cluster into efficient and stable cross-border logistics channels, providing a critical fulcrum for regional enterprises to reach global markets.
