en.Wedoany.com Reported - North Lincolnshire Council has launched a major renovation project for The Riddings, including a swimming pool refurbishment, changing room upgrades, and essential roof and structural works.
The project aims to enhance the experience for the thousands of visitors who use the centre each year, while ensuring the facility's long-term suitability.
Councillor Rob Waltham, leader of North Lincolnshire Council, said that The Riddings is an important community centre, and this investment reflects the council's commitment to protecting and improving facilities that residents value. In recent years, the council has invested significantly in leisure facilities across North Lincolnshire, as these play a vital role in helping residents lead healthier, more active lives. This renovation will ensure that The Riddings continues to serve families for many years to come.
To carry out the work safely, parts of the centre will be temporarily closed while contractors complete the renovation plan. The closure schedule has been carefully arranged, including a plan to safely drain the swimming pool before maintenance work begins.
The swimming pool will close on 17 July. The gym, library, and other centre services will remain open for six weeks, but the library will be temporarily relocated to ensure continued service during the renovation.
