en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Areya Escobedo Industrial Park in Mexico has officially opened, with the first industrial plant of 70,000 square meters delivered to Mercado Libre. The industrial complex has a planned total leasable area of 340,000 square meters and is expected to create 8,000 to 10,000 direct jobs upon full operation. The delivery of the first plant, combined with future expansion plans, already accounts for over 20% of the park's total capacity.

Cristóbal Ruelas, Director of the Areya Industrial Business Unit, stated that the construction of the industrial park was driven by the region's industrial dynamism in recent years. The developer's strategy involves preparing land in advance of market demand and expediting permitting, infrastructure development, and power capacity allocation. Ruelas noted that this delivery marks the beginning of a new phase, not the end of the project. Additionally, the developer announced that Panasonic will be the park's second confirmed client, with its plant located adjacent to Mercado Libre.
Escobedo Mayor José Antonio Quiroga pointed out that the arrival of such industrial complexes demonstrates how coordinated private-sector collaboration can create favorable conditions for investment and long-term project development. He revealed that the municipal government is organizing a job fair targeting talent needed for the park, prioritizing local residents to reduce commuting distances.

At the park's official presentation, Arnulfo Garza, General Manager of Grupo Areya, emphasized that the opening of this industrial asset is a key milestone in the company's history and reaffirmed its commitment to expanding its development platform into new markets in Nuevo León. The ribbon-cutting ceremony was attended by Areya executives, representatives from construction firm Hermosillo, and Newmark company representatives, who facilitated business connections for the project.
