The two sides exchanged views on deepening the integration of "industry, academia, research, and application" between the university and the enterprise, and promoting ecological protection and high-quality development in the Yellow River Basin. Jia Chunqu, Secretary of the Party Committee of CNACG, and Ma Xiaojie, Secretary of the Party Committee of Lanzhou University, attended the meeting. Wu Yuebiao, Member of the Party Committee and Deputy General Manager of CNACG, and Wang Wei, Vice President of Lanzhou University, also participated.

Jia Chunqu expressed gratitude to Lanzhou University for its support to CNACG and its enterprises in Gansu in terms of talent cultivation and technological support. He stated that since the signing of the comprehensive strategic cooperation agreement between the two parties in February this year, the university-enterprise cooperation has entered a new phase, with orderly progress in jointly applying for major scientific research projects, cultivating high-level talents, and collaborating on scientific research innovation platforms. He pointed out that CNACG currently still has shortcomings in basic research, technological innovation, and high-end talent cultivation, and urgently needs to deepen strategic collaboration with Lanzhou University. The two sides can focus on cooperation in areas such as ecological protection of the Yellow River Basin, urban underground space safety assurance, geothermal resource exploration and development, and geological disaster monitoring and early warning, to achieve mutual benefit and win-win results for both the university and the enterprise.

Ma Xiaojie welcomed Jia Chunqu and his delegation, and thanked CNACG for its support to the university's development. He said that since the implementation of the strategic agreement, cooperation between the two sides has progressed steadily, with preliminary results achieved. In the next step, Lanzhou University will leverage its multidisciplinary advantages as a comprehensive university to strengthen regular communication and academic exchange mechanisms in areas such as exploration and prospecting of key western mineral resources, ecological restoration and management, full life-cycle services for mines, geological disaster prediction and early warning, and joint talent cultivation. It aims to bridge the entire chain from basic research to application and transformation, creating a model of industry-university-research integration between central enterprises and universities.

Before the meeting, Jia Chunqu and his delegation visited the Green Nuclear Technology Innovation and Industrialization Laboratory, the Key Laboratory of Western Mineral Resources of Gansu Province, and the Environmental Management Module Laboratory at Lanzhou University to learn about the transformation and application prospects of scientific and technological innovations in related fields. Heads of relevant functional departments and colleges of Lanzhou University, as well as leaders from CNACG headquarters and its subordinate units, attended the symposium.
