en.Wedoany.com Reported - OranjeWind, a joint venture between RWE and TotalEnergies, has signed a port and agency services agreement with Clarkson Port Services BV for the construction and commissioning phase of its OranjeWind offshore wind farm in the Netherlands.

The construction and commissioning phase of the wind farm involves multiple port locations. Monopiles and secondary steel structures will be shipped from Rotterdam, while wind turbines will be transported from Eemshaven. Den Helder Port will serve as the marshalling port for bi-weekly service operation vessel calls and crew transfer vessel calls. Under the agreement, Clarkson will manage port calls in Den Helder, Rotterdam, and Eemshaven, ensuring timely handling of OranjeWind's cargo, materials, equipment, and personnel transportation by providing agency services at various project sites in compliance with the latest applicable regulations and legal requirements.

The 795 MW OranjeWind offshore wind farm is located in the Dutch exclusive economic zone of the North Sea, 53 kilometers west of IJmuiden. Upon full completion, it will feature 53 Vestas V236-15 MW turbines installed on monopile foundations without transition pieces. The foundation structures and turbines will be installed by Jan De Nul using its heavy-lift crane vessel Les Alizés and jack-up installation vessel Voltaire, while inter-array cable laying will be handled by DEME. OranjeWind is expected to achieve full commercial operation by early 2028.
