en.Wedoany.com Reported - On July 15, the China Energy Engineering Construction Group Datang Chaozhou Project Department held a new employee symposium, conducting in-depth exchanges on topics such as role transition, career planning, and on-site safety, and also held a mentor-apprentice agreement signing ceremony.
During the symposium, new employees spoke in turn, sharing their initial work experiences and life feelings at the project. Based on their professional backgrounds and job realities, they discussed their preliminary plans for future career development. Everyone expressed that they would devote themselves to project construction with full enthusiasm, honing skills and accelerating growth through practice. To help new employees better adapt to their positions, the project department specially invited representatives of the 2025 cohort of employees to attend. Combining their year-long on-site training, technical learning, and team collaboration experiences, they shared insights and work experiences on transitioning from "campus people" to "engineering people," encouraging new colleagues to actively go to the site, diligently study drawings, ask more questions, and learn more, accumulating confidence through practical work.
During the mentor-apprentice agreement signing session, paired mentors and apprentices signed agreements one by one, clarifying training objectives and phased tasks. Mentor representatives, based on their own growth experiences, offered specific suggestions to the apprentices: to settle down and delve into professional work, focusing on construction specifications and practical details; to be good at summarizing and reviewing, treating every task as a learning opportunity; and to strictly adhere to safety bottom lines, cultivating good work habits. The apprentices unanimously stated that they would respect their mentors, value learning, be diligent in thinking, and strive to become backbone employees as soon as possible.
In his concluding speech, the project secretary put forward three requirements for the new employees: First, quickly adjust their mindset, correctly understand the environmental change from campus to construction site, overcome impatience, and do their own work down-to-earth; Second, strengthen communication and learning, actively integrate into the project team, seek advice from mentors and senior colleagues, and enhance comprehensive capabilities through collaboration; Third, always prioritize on-site safety, remembering that "without safety as the '1', all other elements are '0'," and firmly guard the first threshold of their career.
This symposium clearly outlined the growth path for new employees, strengthened safety and discipline awareness, and injected new impetus into the project's young talent echelon building. Subsequently, the project department will continue to follow up on the effectiveness of the mentor-apprentice system, helping young employees resonate and grow together with the project construction.
