en.Wedoany.com Reported - Guangzhou Nansha International Cruise Terminal Operation Management Co., Ltd., Adora Cruises Co., Ltd., and Guangzhou GZL International Travel Service Co., Ltd. have signed a cooperation framework agreement to initiate full-cycle preparations, passenger sales, and comprehensive promotion for the maiden voyage of the second domestically built large cruise ship "Adora Huacheng" from Guangzhou Nansha in late November 2026. Built by Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding Co., Ltd., a subsidiary of China State Shipbuilding Corporation Limited, the cruise ship completed its sea trials on May 27, 2026, and is currently targeting delivery by November 6, 2026, in the final sprint phase of regional and system completion.
Under the agreement, the three parties will collaborate synergistically: Adora Cruises will be responsible for cruise capacity deployment, route operations, navigation safety, and onboard services; GZL will handle passenger sourcing, product innovation, market promotion, and full-process passenger services; and Nansha Cruise Terminal Operation Company will provide core functions including port support, customs clearance services, terminal operations, supporting upgrades, and industrial capacity, forming a closed-loop cruise tourism system of "port with capacity, route with transport, and travel with passengers."
In specific areas of cooperation, the three parties will collaborate across six major directions: product innovation, route upgrades, brand co-building, service quality improvement, industrial extension, and talent cultivation. Leveraging the South China market and Lingnan cultural tourism resources, they will upgrade premium routes in Southeast Asia and Northeast Asia, innovatively create themed routes such as the "Maritime Silk Road," multi-destination itineraries in the Greater Bay Area, and bay-area sea tours, while developing diverse cruise products for families, honeymoons, corporate meetings and team building, and festive specialties. This will form a differentiated, high-quality Guangzhou cruise product matrix, helping Guangzhou become a leading, internationally influential cruise route hub and a renowned global cruise tourism destination.
The three parties will also integrate promotional resources, jointly hosting brand events such as cruise launches, industry forums, and cultural tourism festivals to enhance the influence of cruise tourism in South China. By streamlining the full-service chain from ticket purchase, customs clearance, boarding, sailing, to disembarkation, they will optimize port clearance efficiency, improve onboard service quality, and enhance ground cultural tourism facilities, establishing a benchmark standard for cruise services in the Greater Bay Area.

In terms of industrial depth development, the three parties will promote the clustering of upstream and downstream cruise industries, driving the coordinated growth of sectors such as cruise supply, convention economy, duty-free consumption, cultural and creative industries, and financial services, while exploring new business models for the cruise economy. Simultaneously, through school-enterprise cooperation, talent exchanges, and joint training, they will strengthen Guangzhou's talent foundation for the cruise industry.
This signing marks the establishment of a "port hub + cruise operation + cultural tourism channel" tripartite, full-chain collaborative mechanism for Guangzhou's cruise industry, providing core support for the maiden voyage and long-term operation of the domestically built large cruise ship "Adora Huacheng."
