en.Wedoany.com Reported - German rental company Schlamann has taken delivery of the first of four cranes, a 230-tonne Liebherr LTM 1230-5.1 all-terrain crane. The remaining cranes include a 55-tonne LTM 1055-3.3, a 150-tonne LTM 1150-5.4 all-terrain crane, and a 60-tonne LTF 1060-4.1 commercial chassis truck-mounted crane, all scheduled for delivery in the coming months.

The five-axle crane features an eight-section 75-meter main boom, with an 11.5 to 20-meter bi-fold swingaway extension that can be mounted at the top, achieving a maximum offset angle of 40 degrees. Up to three 7-meter intermediate sections can be added between the main boom head and the folding jib, enabling a maximum lifting height of 113 meters. The crane will primarily be used for tower crane installation, wind turbine maintenance, and power pylon erection.

Managing Director Torsten Schlamann stated that demand for power pylon installation has increased as part of the energy transition, a trend expected to continue in the coming years. Thanks to its long telescopic boom, the LTM 1230-5.1 can perform such tasks without the need for a lattice jib. His daughter Katharina added that operators are very satisfied with the new driver assistance systems, such as the blind spot information system.

Headquartered in Nienburg, northern Germany, Schlamann operates a fleet of 23 cranes, the largest of which is a 300-tonne LTM 1300-6.3 delivered last year. The company also has aerial work platforms and forklifts from four locations, employing a total of 95 people, with a fleet of over 300 units.
