The platform will integrate manufacturing, engineering, system integration, and lifecycle optimization capabilities to serve India's rapidly growing large-scale utility and commercial & industrial (C&I) energy storage markets.
This collaboration goes beyond mere manufacturing, aiming to create an end-to-end BESS platform covering the entire value chain from cell integration and system engineering to energy management systems (EMS), system integration, and long-term lifecycle optimization.
Under the agreement, Advait Battery Ecosystems will lead the infrastructure development, manufacturing, capital investment, commercial expansion, and business development for the BESS platform. The company stated that it has secured land for the manufacturing facility, initiated civil development works, and identified assembly line OEMs based on Adaptive's technical recommendations, targeting facility commissioning by November 2026. Meanwhile, the company is actively engaging with public sector enterprises and leading renewable energy developers to explore potential opportunities.
Adaptive Engineering will contribute its expertise in engineering design, PLC, SCADA, EMS architecture, and system integration, leading the technical and engineering functions of BESS projects under the collaboration. With experience spanning over 68 GW of renewable energy projects, more than 55 GW of power plant controller (PPC) installations, 1.4 GWh of EMS-BESS deployments, and management of over 500 renewable energy sites, this expertise will enhance the platform's technical capabilities.
The platform will target utility-scale and commercial & industrial (C&I) BESS applications, offering integrated solutions from cell-to-rack assembly, energy management systems, system integration, and related power conversion infrastructure. The platform also aims to maintain adaptability for future technologies such as hydrogen, fuel cells, electric vehicle charging infrastructure, microgrids, and virtual power plants, ensuring long-term scalability as India's energy landscape evolves.
In addition to technical integration, the agreement establishes a long-term collaboration framework for engineering, manufacturing, commercial development, and customer engagement. Advait will lead customer acquisition, bidding, and commercial relationships, while Adaptive will support proposal development, technical documentation, design optimization, and lifecycle strategies for future projects.
