en.Wedoany.com Reported - The Russian Fintech Association (АФТ) has launched a load testing phase in the Active Directory import substitution pilot project, testing three Russian domestic directory service solutions. Participants include the centralized IT infrastructure management system «Ред Адм» (Red Adm) from «Ред Софт» (Red Soft), the enterprise directory service «Эллес» (Elles) from IT holding company «Т1» (T1), and the software suite «Альт Домен» (Alt Domain) from «Базальт СПО» (Basalt SPO), which is used for centralized network management of computers and users. Representatives of the АФТ disclosed this information to CNews.
The hardware foundation of the testing platform consists of equipment from Yadro, including Vegman R220G2 servers, Tatlin.Unified data storage systems, and Kornfeld network switches. The platform architecture simulates a complex distributed structure with deep organizational nesting, setting up seven organizational units (OUs), two main object types (users and computers), and a separate OU for groups and membership relations.
The testing scale covers over 700,000 objects in the directory, including users, computers, groups, and nested structures. Additionally, nearly 2 million membership relations were examined, equivalent to an infrastructure with 150,000 users and approximately 100,000 computers, considering complex hierarchies, nested groups, and various access scenarios. The testing loop used 47 groups, with group sizes ranging from 100 to 600,000.
Kirill Kuzmin, Deputy General Director of the Fintech Association and Head of the Pilot and Prototyping Department, stated that the purpose of the testing is to evaluate the stability, performance, and scalability of domestic solutions under loads close to real operational scenarios, focusing on authentication performance in large groups, replication stability during batch membership changes, and LDAP query execution speed when traversing deep organizational hierarchies.
Nikolai Tikhomirov, Chief Technology Officer of FinPlatform under IT holding company «Т1», said that the АФТ initiative allows the «Эллес» directory service to be tested under conditions close to the real ecosystem of large enterprises. Testing on an infrastructure simulating 150,000 employees verified the product's maturity and fault tolerance: the solution met all functional criteria of the association's methodology, demonstrating high stability and response speed. At 400 transactions per second, user authentication took 4 milliseconds; during large-scale login stress testing, it took only 5 milliseconds at 437 transactions per second. These results confirm that the «Эллес» architecture is ready to handle peak loads in the financial sector and large enterprise IT environments.
Pavel Karnaukh, Director of Sales Technical Support at Yadro, noted that the testing shows it is possible to build complex, high-load solutions on a domestic software and hardware stack. The load testing results of the directory services will be useful for financial organizations of all sizes, including the largest Russian banks and insurance companies, many of which have years of cooperation experience with Yadro.
