Wedoany.com Report-Nov. 21, Lucid Group introduced the Gravity Touring, a more accessible version of its electric Gravity SUV, with a starting price of $79,900. The announcement was made on Thursday as the California-based luxury EV manufacturer aims to attract additional customers during a period of moderated electric vehicle demand in the United States.

The new Gravity Touring delivers up to 337 miles of range and provides seating for seven passengers. It joins the previously available Grand Touring version in Lucid’s expanding SUV range. Customer orders opened immediately on Thursday, with selected configurations eligible for prompt delivery.
The launch supports Lucid’s strategy to broaden its product portfolio beyond the Air sedan and increase overall delivery volumes. The move follows the conclusion of a $7,500 federal tax credit at the end of September, after which several manufacturers have observed softer market conditions.
In its third-quarter results, Lucid reported revenue of $336.6 million, below analyst expectations, and adjusted its full-year production guidance to approximately 18,000 vehicles. The company cited ongoing supply-chain challenges that have impacted Gravity SUV output.
Like other automakers, Lucid continues to address component shortages, including semiconductors and certain rare earth materials, as well as temporary disruptions caused by a September fire at an aluminum supplier facility.
The Gravity Touring offers customers a combination of long range, spacious three-row seating, and premium features at a lower entry price compared to the Grand Touring model. By introducing this variant, Lucid seeks to maintain momentum in the competitive luxury electric SUV segment while responding to current market dynamics in the United States.
The vehicle is produced at Lucid’s manufacturing facility in Arizona, where the company continues to ramp up Gravity production alongside the Air sedan. The addition of the Touring model provides prospective buyers with greater choice and positions Lucid to reach a wider range of premium electric vehicle customers.
