Wedoany.com Report-Dec.27, Pro-Set Formulated Resin Systems LLC (Bay City, Michigan, USA), a holding company under Iron Path Capital, recently announced the completion of its acquisition of Wessex Resins and Adhesives Ltd. (Wessex, Romsey, UK).
Wessex has been deeply involved in the formulation and manufacturing of high-performance epoxy resins and adhesives for many years. For a long time, as an authorized partner of Gougeon Brothers in Europe, Wessex has been responsible for the production and sales of products under several brands, including West Systems, Pro-Set, and Entropy Resins, as well as its own WRA brand products. Its business covers Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and parts of Asia.
Ted Clark, Executive Chairman of Pro-Set Formulated Resin Systems and Partner at Iron Path Capital, stated: "We are delighted to welcome Wessex into the fold. By integrating the composite resin and adhesive businesses, we will take a decisive step to drive growth in the European market. This acquisition is a natural and powerful union of two top-tier companies with a deep and longstanding collaborative relationship."
Since its founding in 1981, Wessex has consistently focused on the research, development, and production of high-quality epoxy resin products and has established partnerships with organizations such as the UK Ministry of Defence, Bombardier, and BAE Systems. As part of the transition arrangement, Sam Oliver, son of former Wessex Managing Director Ian Oliver, will assume the role of the new Managing Director to ensure a seamless business integration.
