As a new type of clean energy, hydrogen energy is regarded as an important component of the future energy system and is being rapidly deployed amid the global energy transition and low-carbon development. The hydrogen energy industry chain covers multiple segments, including hydrogen production, storage, transportation, refueling, and end-use applications. It involves key technological fields such as renewable energy-based hydrogen production, water electrolysis hydrogen production, utilization of industrial by-product hydrogen, and hydrogen fuel cell systems. In terms of application, hydrogen energy has gradually expanded into transportation, power peak shaving, iron and steel metallurgy, chemical alternative fuels, and distributed energy systems. The industry scale and number of demonstration projects continue to grow. With the improvement of infrastructure and the advancement of domestic manufacturing capabilities for core equipment, hydrogen energy is moving from the demonstration stage toward large-scale development.
