Engineers India Limited (EIL) recently bid farewell to its Chairman & Managing Director, Vartika Shukla, who concluded her nearly four-decade-long service, leaving a significant impact on the company and India's energy and infrastructure sectors.

Shukla joined EIL as a Management Trainee in 1988 after graduating in Chemical Engineering from IIT Kanpur. Leveraging her strong technical foundation and leadership skills, she progressively rose through the ranks, overseeing complex projects in refining, petrochemicals, infrastructure, and energy transition. Her hands-on approach and strategic vision helped keep EIL at the forefront of India's industrial and energy transformation.

Under Shukla's leadership, EIL expanded its footprint in both domestic and international markets. She actively championed diversification into advanced infrastructure, green energy solutions, and sustainable technologies, aligning the company with global energy transition trends. During her tenure, EIL achieved record financial performance, enhanced its competitiveness in engineering consultancy and EPC through rigorous execution and a focus on innovation, and solidified its reputation as a reliable partner for large-scale refinery and petrochemical projects.

The EIL Board acknowledged Shukla's contributions, noting that her leadership not only drove transformation but also fostered an institutional and collaborative culture.
