Wedoany.com Report on Mar 4th, LaFleur Minerals Inc. recently released a Preliminary Economic Assessment (PEA) report for its Swanson gold project located in Quebec, Canada. The assessment results indicate that, based on its wholly-owned Beacon gold processing plant, the project proposes a technical plan aimed at achieving capital efficiency. The PEA points out that the initial capital expenditure is estimated at C$31 million. Assuming a base gold price of US$2,750 per ounce, the project yields a post-tax internal rate of return (IRR) of 65%, a net present value (NPV) of C$101 million (at a 5% discount rate), a projected payback period of 1.8 years, and an all-in sustaining cost (AISC) of US$1,569 per ounce.

The updated 2026 Mineral Resource Estimate shows that the Swanson gold project's indicated resources have increased by 30% to 160.3 thousand ounces of contained gold, supporting a mine life of seven years. The company plans to increase the processing plant's capacity to 1,250 tonnes per day to enhance economies of scale and reduce operating costs. Furthermore, there is a direct Canadian National Railway connection between the Swanson deposit and the Beacon processing plant, which helps optimize logistics and reduce associated expenses.

LaFleur Minerals focuses on developing district-scale gold projects in the Abitibi gold belt near Val-d'Or, Quebec, with the Swanson gold project being a key resource-stage asset the company is advancing. The project covers approximately 18,304 hectares (183 square kilometers) and contains several zones with potential for gold and critical metals. Historically, it was operated by companies such as Monarch Mining, Abcourt Mines, and Globex Mining. LaFleur recently consolidated a land package along a major structural break, encompassing multiple gold deposits and showings including Swanson, Bartec, and Jolin, which collectively form the Swanson gold project. The project is accessible by road and is close to several gold processing plants, further enhancing its development prospects. The company's Beacon gold processing plant is permitted, refurbished, and currently has a capacity to process over 750 tonnes of ore per day. It is planned to process mineralized material from Swanson while also providing custom milling services for surrounding gold projects.
