This investment plan is led by GE Vernova Hitachi, a joint venture equally owned by GE Vernova and the Hitachi Group, and aims to modernize U.S. energy infrastructure.

As part of the investment plan, GE Vernova Hitachi will invest $40 billion to construct small modular reactors in Tennessee and Alabama, USA. These small modular reactor projects are expected to enhance the United States' nuclear power generation capacity and support the transition to clean energy.

Additionally, the company plans to invest $33 billion in Pennsylvania and Texas for the construction of gas-fired power plants. These gas-fired power plants will include a 4.3-gigawatt project in southwestern Pennsylvania, developed by NextEra Energy Resources with an investment of approximately $17 billion, and a 5.2-gigawatt project in Anderson County, Texas, with an investment of $16 billion.
