en.Wedoany.com Reported - GreenYellow has signed a 20-year Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) agreement with Italian steel product manufacturer GIVA to manage two existing self-consumption solar power plants in northern Italy, with a total installed capacity of 11 megawatts peak (MWp).

Under the agreement, GreenYellow will assume full responsibility for the operation and long-term performance management of these two rooftop and ground-mounted solar plants. In the EaaS model, GIVA is relieved of the full technical and operational responsibilities of the system, with GreenYellow acting as the service provider to coordinate incentives around sustained power generation. This approach aims to maximize on-site renewable energy generation, aligning it with GIVA's production electricity consumption patterns, helping the manufacturer reduce energy costs and improve power supply reliability.
The scope of services provided by GreenYellow includes: daily operations management, preventive and corrective maintenance, component inspections, inverter and system diagnostics, performance troubleshooting, continuous remote monitoring, and generation forecasting and dispatch support. GreenYellow is also responsible for electrical and safety compliance checks, grid interaction management, lifecycle planning for components and inverters, as well as plant cleaning and on-site vegetation management. In terms of insurance and risk control, the EaaS framework incorporates reliability-focused maintenance practices to reduce unplanned generation losses. Additionally, GreenYellow enhances energy output through data-driven efficiency improvements, such as software adjustments or hardware upgrades, and implements metering and measurement verification to ensure accurate billing consistent with GIVA's self-consumption configuration.
This agreement reflects the prevailing trend in the European industrial sector of utilizing rooftop and ground-mounted solar for energy independence and carbon reduction. Through the EaaS model, industrial companies can access clean electricity without assuming full responsibility for system management. This collaboration strengthens GreenYellow's position in the Italian commercial and industrial solar market, while supporting GIVA's continued progress toward its emission reduction targets by maintaining solar output and providing structured performance evidence.
