en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 27th, Eve Air Mobility conducted a flight demonstration of its full-scale engineering prototype for Brazilian government authorities at Embraer's test facility in Gavião Peixoto, Brazil. Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva, Minister of Science, Technology and Innovation Luciana Santos, Minister of Ports and Airports Silvio Costa Filho, President of Brazil's National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC) Tiago Chagas Fayelstein, President of the Brazilian Development Bank (BNDES) Aloizio Mercadante, and members of the media were in attendance. This event marks a new advancement in Eve's flight test program for the certification path of its eVTOL aircraft.

Since its first flight in December 2025, the eVTOL prototype has completed 35 flights, accumulating nearly 1.5 hours of flight time and reaching a maximum altitude of 140 feet (approximately 43 meters) above ground level. During testing, the aircraft demonstrated stable flight behavior, including maneuvers with simultaneous three-axis inputs. Preliminary results show that the propulsion system and battery performance exceeded expectations, with noise levels remaining within predicted ranges and lower than traditional helicopters. Flight testing is currently focused on low-speed operations, up to 15 knots (approximately 28 km/h), to verify control laws and aerodynamic efficiency. Eve plans to expand the flight envelope to conduct higher-speed tests.

Eve CEO Johann Bordais stated, "We are advancing in our flight test program with discipline and consistency to reduce risk and lay the groundwork for future certification flights. The achievements in the first months since the inaugural flight in December 2025 have strengthened our confidence in the aircraft architecture and our ability to deliver a safe, efficient, and scalable solution for the urban air mobility market." In addition to flight testing, Eve has completed ground testing and sensor calibration to support the expansion of the flight envelope, with flights up to 30 knots (approximately 56 km/h) expected in the coming days. Aircraft certification still requires the completion of technical milestones and approval from regulatory authorities.

Embraer President and CEO Francisco Gomes Neto added, "Embraer has over five decades of proven expertise in aircraft development and certification. Applying this knowledge to Eve's project reinforces our commitment to innovation and a sustainable aviation future. We see significant potential in the global urban air mobility market and believe Eve is a leader in this industry." Eve is also participating in Brazil's National Urban Air Mobility Policy public consultation and has secured financing exceeding BRL 1.4 billion from BNDES since 2022, as well as grants of up to BRL 90 million from the Brazilian Research and Project Financing Agency (FINEP) to accelerate digital innovation and sustainable aviation initiatives. The company continues to advance its advanced air mobility solutions, including the Eve Vector software and Eve TechCare platform, while collaborating with regulators to foster the ecosystem.
