en.Wedoany.com Report on Mar 28th, Synopsys, Inc. recently announced a collaboration with Arm to provide a full-stack design solution for Arm's new AGI CPU, covering areas such as EDA, interface IP, and hardware-assisted verification (HAV). This collaboration aims to optimize the AGI CPU based on the Arm Neoverse CSS V3 architecture, enhancing its performance in power consumption, performance, and efficiency to meet the demands of data center and AI applications.

Mohamed Awad, Executive Vice President of Arm's Cloud AI Business Unit, stated: "Designing data center chips for complex AI workloads requires rigorous system-level verification. The Arm AGI CPU demonstrates our SoC design capabilities, and Synopsys's design, IP, and verification solutions have helped us develop and validate the next-generation AI infrastructure chips with outstanding performance per watt."

Ravi Subramanian, Chief Product Management Officer at Synopsys, pointed out: "We congratulate Arm on the successful delivery of the AGI CPU, which reflects excellent engineering practices. Synopsys's design, IP, and advanced verification tools have played a significant role in this innovative process."

Synopsys provides a broad range of design solutions based on the Arm architecture, including tools such as VCS, Fusion Compiler, IC Validator, PrimeTime, and RedHawk-SC, supporting power, performance, and area optimization for high-performance computing and AI use cases. These tools are applied in complex platform development processes, promoting scalability and silicon verification at advanced nodes and shortening design cycles.

Additionally, Synopsys's silicon-proven interface IP solutions accelerate the development process and reduce integration risks, while software-defined hardware-assisted verification (HAV) systems, such as ZeBu Server 5 and HAPS prototyping systems, support pre-silicon software verification and system-level performance testing, speeding time-to-market.

With the launch of the AGI CPU, Synopsys continues to support the Arm Total Design ecosystem. The collaboration between the two parties is dedicated to accelerating custom silicon development and simplifying the design complexity of Neoverse Compute Subsystems (CSS). As an engineering solutions provider, Synopsys is committed to advancing the development of AI-driven products through innovative technologies.
