en.Wedoany.com Reported - German wind turbine manufacturer Enercon has signed a contract with Turkish company RT Enerji to supply 20 turbines for the Aydın-Denizli 140 MW wind farm in Turkey. The agreement, signed on April 22 at the WindEurope exhibition in Madrid, is part of Turkey's YEKA 5 tender project.

RT Enerji has been granted project development rights by Turkey's Ministry of Energy. This order marks the first collaboration between Enercon and RT Enerji. Enercon will supply 20 E-175 EP5 E2 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 7.0 MW and a rotor diameter of 175 meters. This is the first application of this model in the Turkish market.

Construction of the project is scheduled to start in April 2027, with connection to the power grid expected by the end of October 2027. Enercon CEO Udo Bauer stated: "We are delighted that RT Enerji trusts us and has chosen our new model for this project. This is our first collaboration. With the E-175 EP5 E2, we are ready to continue driving Turkey's energy transition together with our new partner." RT Enerji CEO Bekir Korkmaz noted: "We look forward to building a wind farm in Turkey for the first time using the E-175 EP5 E2. Through close cooperation with ENERCON, we aim to contribute to the development of Turkey's renewable energy system."
