en.Wedoany.com Reported - Portuguese energy community developer Cleanwatts, in partnership with the local public-private institution Eugénio de Almeida Foundation (FEA), has launched a new energy community in the Évora region. The community's electricity is sourced from a photovoltaic plant installed on the rooftop of the Cartuxa Monte de Pinheiros winery within the Quinta de Pinheiros estate.Aerial view of the photovoltaic plant installed on the rooftop of the Cartuxa Monte de Pinheiros winery in Évora, Portugal

This operational photovoltaic plant has an installed capacity of 978 kWp, comprising 1,630 modules of 600 Wp each. The modules are installed in a coplanar arrangement, directly fixed to the flat metal roof plane of the industrial building without additional tilt, oriented in an east-west direction, covering the entire available roof area. The module installation was completed using linear profiles anchored to the profiled steel sheet structure, forming continuous parallel rows.

The photovoltaic plant is equipped with two private electric vehicle charging stations and is designed for an annual generation of 1,360 MWh. Operating under a collective self-consumption model, the generated electricity will be shared among the foundation's various facilities and several local social institutions in Évora.
