en.Wedoany.com Reported - On June 5, the rotor installation for the generator of Unit 6 of the Anqing Phase III project in Anhui, constructed by China Energy Engineering Group Tianjin Electric Power Construction Co., Ltd., was completed.

The generator for this unit, manufactured by Shanghai Electric Power Generation Co., Ltd., is a self-excited static excitation steam turbine generator. It adopts a closed-cycle ventilation cooling system with a water-hydrogen-hydrogen cooling method. The hydrogen inside the stator casing is driven by an axial-flow fan located at the rotor's turbine end, with a net rotor weight of 88 tons. The rotor installation was carried out using two bridge cranes in the turbine hall of the unit. To ensure smooth installation, the project team organized advance planning, conducted detailed safety and technical briefings, and had project leaders supervise the entire process. The installation began at 09:28 AM, with all personnel working in close coordination. After 2 hours and 50 minutes of continuous operation, the installation was completed at 12:18 PM.

Located in Laofeng Town, east of Anqing City, Anhui Province, the project utilizes the expansion land on the east side of the Anqing Phase II power plant to construct two new 1,000 MW ultra-supercritical double-reheat coal-fired generating units. Upon completion, the total installed capacity of the Anqing Power Plant will reach 4,640 MW, making it the largest power plant in Anhui Province in terms of installed capacity. This will help alleviate power shortages in the Anhui grid, enhance system peak-shaving capabilities, and improve new energy integration capacity.
