en.Wedoany.com Reported - The German Windanker offshore wind farm, under construction in the Baltic Sea, has an installed capacity of 315 megawatts. The project will install 21 turbines, each equipped with Siemens Gamesa's Power Boost technology, capable of delivering approximately 15 megawatts of power.

Located northeast of the island of Rügen, the wind farm will form part of Iberdrola's Baltic Hub offshore wind cluster, together with Wikinger and Baltic Eagle. The cluster has a total installed capacity of approximately 1.1 gigawatts.

Currently, offshore construction work at the Windanker site is in full swing. Van Oord completed the installation of all monopile foundations and all inter-array cables last year. The installation of the 21 turbines is being carried out by DEME, which acquired Havfram last year. Havfram had secured the installation contract for the project in 2024. According to information previously released by DEME, the company plans to deploy the new self-elevating installation vessel Norse Energi for operations starting in June.

The Windanker offshore wind farm is expected to complete construction by the end of this year and achieve full commercial operation in 2027.
