en.Wedoany.com Reported - Team Global Express has partnered with the New Zealand Food Network (NZFN) to provide logistics support for the charity's national food distribution network. Under the agreement, Team Global Express will use its transport network to deliver food to 64 food centers and the communities they serve across New Zealand.

NZFN CEO Gavin Findlay said managing large volumes of surplus food requires fast and efficient delivery to national food centers for community distribution, and such partnerships help alleviate food insecurity burdens by delivering quality, nutritious food to those who need it most. Findlay noted that with its branch network across Aotearoa, Team Global Express understands the communities it serves.

This partnership coincides with NZFN's release of its first Hunger Monitoring Report. The report shows that one-third of New Zealand households have experienced some form of food insecurity over the past year.

Team Global Express Chief Commercial Officer Piyush Pahade said the company partnered with NZFN based on a shared commitment to ensuring food reaches those in need. Pahade stated that the company believes business operations should benefit employees, customers, and local communities, contributing its network to this cause and supporting NZFN's daily work.

Both organizations said the partnership aims to reduce food waste by maximizing fleet utilization and improve the efficiency of New Zealand's transport network. Since its inception, NZFN has prevented over 73 million kilograms of CO2 equivalent from being emitted into the atmosphere through its food rescue activities. In addition to freight services, Team Global Express will also introduce NZFN to clients with potential surplus food inventory and provide employee volunteers to assist with sorting and distributing food parcels. NZFN is New Zealand's largest food support charity, distributing donated food through 64 national food centers and over 2,000 frontline organizations.
