The inaugural flight departed from Suvarnabhumi Airport (BKK) on July 1, 2026, landing at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport (AMS) at approximately 12:30 local time. The aircraft operating the flight was an Airbus A350-900, registration number HS-THH, and a celebration ceremony was held after it taxied to Gate E19.

Prior to departure, Thai Airways held an inaugural ceremony at Suvarnabhumi Airport, attended by CEO Chai Eamsiri and Chief Commercial Officer Kittiphong Sansomboon. Joery Strijtveen, Head of Aviation Partnerships at Schiphol Airport, welcomed the airline's return after nearly three decades. Strijtveen stated that Thailand is an important market for Schiphol, and the resumption of the Bangkok route will broaden travel options and enhance connectivity for transit passengers to various destinations across Asia.

Thai Airways will operate the route daily using an Airbus A350-900. The flight schedule is designed to facilitate connections for passengers arriving from Europe to onward destinations in Asia. Flight TG936 departs Bangkok at 05:35 local time and arrives in Amsterdam at 12:40 local time. The return flight, TG937, departs Amsterdam at 14:15 local time and arrives in Bangkok at 06:35 local time the following day.

Amsterdam serves both as a cultural tourism destination in Western Europe and a key commercial hub. Schiphol Airport offers rail connections to neighboring countries such as Belgium and Germany, and Amsterdam is also home to one of the Netherlands' major seaports, playing a significant role in international trade and logistics.
